Google added incognito reauthentication for added security for your private browser tabs on Android. In this article, I will show you how to enable incognito reauthentication.

Enable device reauthentication for Incognito

The authentication feature is currently hidden behind an experimental flag on Google Chrome.

Open a new tab and go to chrome://flags. Enable the following flag and restart Chrome.

Enable device reauthentication for Incognito: When enabled, a setting appears in Settings > Privacy and Security, to enable reauthentication for accessing your existing Incognito tabs.

You have now enabled incognito authentication on Chrome. Open a private tab, leave Chrome and then try to come back. Your phone should now ask you to enter the unlock PIN or fingerprint before you can see the contents of the Incognito tab.
