The authentication feature is currently hidden behind an experimental flag on Google Chrome.

Open a new tab and go to chrome://flags. Enable the following flag and restart Chrome.

Enable device reauthentication for Incognito: When enabled, a setting appears in Settings > Privacy and Security, to enable reauthentication for accessing your existing Incognito tabs.

  1. Tap the three-dots settings menu.Chrome Android Three Dots Menu
  2. Choose Settings.

  3. Select Privacy and security.

You have now enabled incognito authentication on Chrome. Open a private tab, leave Chrome and then try to come back. Your phone should now ask you to enter the unlock PIN or fingerprint before you can see the contents of the Incognito tab.
