Last Updated on:

Is Google trying to make the side panel a swiss army knife for Chrome? It sure looks like it.

  • Reading List
  • Bookmarks
  • Journeys
  • Feed

If these weren’t enough, Google has one more item to add to the list. Customizing Chrome.

Customize Chrome Side Panel: Enables the ability to use Customize Chrome functionality from the unified side panel on the New Tab Page. – Mac, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, Fuchsia, Lacros.

We only have a placeholder for now. I am hoping to see this working in the Canary channel in the coming days. I will have more details and screenshots for you as soon as it is ready.
