How to Disable Side Panel in Google Chrome

April 14, 2022 by Dinsan Francis Updated on: 9:35 pm 1 Comment

Google Chrome recently added a side panel that displays your reading list and bookmarks. There are a few more items Google wants to add to the side panel. However, what if you don’t want this side panel? You can turn off the side panel.

Disable Side Panel

Google hasn’t included an option to hide the side panel button from the toolbar. However, you can hide the side panel if it is visible on your sidebar.

To hide the side panel, click the side panel icon on the toolbar or the X icon on the side panel.

I really hope Google will add an option to hide the side panel completely. For now, let’s hide it.
