Chrome Tab Groups for Tablets

Google Chrome has a unique user interface for tablet computers. For example, assume that you are using a Chromebook that switches into tablet mode when the keyboard is disconnected. When the Chromebook switches to tablet mode, Chrome’s UI slightly changes to be touchscreen-friendly.

The recently added tab groups feature will soon be a part of this tablet-friendly Google Chrome UI.

So, what makes me say that? First, here is the experimental flag that I spotted this morning.

Tab groups on tablets: Enable tab groups on tablets

I will bring you screenshots of this from the Canary channel of Chrome pretty soon. For now, I do not have any additional information about this feature.

An interesting question to ponder while we wait to see tab groups in action on a tablet. Will the UI be the same, or will there be a tablet-friendly tab groups interface?
