Tab Search, a feature that was available only on Chrome OS, is now available for Google Chrome users too. The latest version of Google Chrome Canary has a flag to enable Tab Search.
Tab Search for All Desktop Platforms
Remember Tab Search?
Google added an option to search your open Chrome tabs. It was a Chrome OS-only feature at launch.
Google is bringing this to Chrome on all desktop platforms. This means you will soon be able to search Chrome tabs on Windows and macOS too.
If you were hesitant to try that method, Google is adding this feature to the list of experiments at chrome://flags.
We will see the new Tab Search flag in one of the upcoming Chrome Canary updates.
When the flag becomes available, enable the flag, restart Chrome, and you should be able to take Tab Search for a spin.
Do let us know what you think about this feature after testing it out. Do you keep 10 or me tabs open at a time? Is this going to improve your workflow?
