Here is a feature that Chrome OS added to version 73, you can now make entire folders from Google Drive offline. Spotted by Redditor u/
I would say the best platform to use Google Drive on is Chrome OS. It is available as an additional drive, built-right into the official file manager, the Files app.
I can easily drag and drop things from one location to the other. For example, I can drag a local file to a Google Drive folder to upload it. In the same manner, I can drag a file or folder from Google Drive to my local files section to download it.
I can right-click any file to make it available offline. Now, with Chrome OS version 73, I can do this with folders too. This brings the Google Drive section of the Files app one more step closer to those fancy sync clients that we use on Windows and Mac.
If you are on Chrome OS 73, go ahead and give this a try now. Open the Files app, pick a folder and right-click. You should see “Available offline” option here.
