Update: Looks like this was about Chrome autofill, and “autofill assistant” I still do not know why they added this under “Assistant for Chrome” though!
I spotted a very interesting setting in Chrome for Android, Canary version. There is now a new category called “Google Assistant for Chrome”.
There is only one item there now, and it is enabled by default. It reads “Assistant Triggered Checkout“.
I am not quite sure what this does. I searched on Google, but no luck there too. There isn’t anything about “Assistant triggered checkout”. Hopefully, we will see on about this in coming days and weeks.
Now, here are couple of screenshots.
I’ll be really interested to know what you think this will do. Also, let me know your ideas on how Assistant for Google Chrome will work.
We all knew that Assistant will eventually come to Chrome, if not the general web. This could be the early signs of that.
Is this just Google working on adding more deeper Assistant integration for Chrome?
