In Chrome OS Tablet Mode, You Can Soon Swipe and Change Wallpapers

As you already know, Chrome OS will soon get a new wallpaper app similar to that of Android. This will include the same categories, images, and even the “Daily Refresh” feature from its Android counterpart. In a way, this is the same wallpaper app from Android. According to Google’s François Beaufort, this app will get an additional trick in tablet mode.

When this feature is ready, you will be able to open the wallpaper picker app and see a full-sized live preview of the wallpaper. From here, you can simply swipe to browse through the available options and set an image as your wallpaper. Here is a neat GIF demo:

The new wallpaper app will be a big change when it becomes available on the Stable channel, and this feature is a welcome addition. It is also worth remembering that we can install Android wallpaper apps from the Play Store, there are dozens of them.

Remember the excitement when Chrome OS got wallpaper for the first time? That was in 2012. Were you a Chrome Story reader back then? Let me know.
