Once in a while, a feature like this lands in Chrome OS. A feature that has always been part of other operating systems, but when it comes to Chrome OS, we are all happy nevertheless.
Power Management for Chrome OS
This feature is currently being tested in Canary and possibly in Dev channel too. If you are using stable channel, wait for few more weeks and you should see this on your devices too.
Under Settings > Power, we now have the following options:
- Battery percentage and time left.
- What to do when the Chromebook is idle: Turn off display and sleep, turn off display, or keep display on.
- When lid is closed: Sleep or stay awake.
So, that’s one more basic feature that we have been missing on Chrome OS. Do you have any more such things missing on your Chromebook? Drop me a comment and let us discuss!
