The official Adobe announcement about Flash support was followed up by Google’s statement about end of support for Flash in 2020. While stating that Flash helped make the web a rich, dynamic experience, and shaped the modern set of web standards, Google said that over a three-year period, Flash usage has declined 80%.
Chrome will increasingly require explicit permission from users to run Flash content until support is removed completely at the end of 2020.
