Master & Dynamic who are famous for their high-end headphones is making news with the launch of their wireless speaker which is made of concrete. They have partnered with renowned architect Sir David Adjaye, who designed the world famous Nobel Peace Centre in Oslo. His design resulted in a bold and immersive new speaker that draws upon distinctive premium materials and sensory-focused craftsmanship- MA770.
MA770 is cast in a way that the proprietary concrete composite provides exceptional acoustic benefits. It reduces resonance, increases dampening properties, and gives you clear and pure sound. The speaker can play at a high volume without causing a record to skip or the table and floor to vibrate.
Constructed in a seamless, sealed concrete composite form, the speaker easily fills a large room with sonically sophisticated sound, powered by 100 Watts of Class D amplification.
The wireless speaker can be used as a single unit, stereo pair or multi-room setup via Chromecast built-in. It is compatible with all Chromecast enabled music streaming services and applications like Spotify, Tidal, Pandora, Soundcloud, Deezer and more. MA770 has bluetooth 4.1 with BLE, optical audio, and a 3.5mm auxiliary analog audio jack.
Sir David Adjaye mentions about the speaker thus: “This speaker is not about the traditional idea of making boxes, but about a directional form. I became fascinated with the idea of using triangles to break down the mass of the box, and to see if we could dissolve the sense of volume through sculptural detail. We created a new geometry for this speaker. A new geometry of sound.”
