“Mercury Reader” For Chrome Removes Clutter From Web Pages For Easier Reading

Let me borrow the official description for this extension to introduce it. “The Mercury Reader extension for Chrome (formerly Readability) removes ads and distractions, leaving only text and images for a clean and consistent reading view on every site.”

If you read a lot of articles online, (I do, but I am a huge Pocket fan) an extension like this is going to be really useful to you. Whenever you find an article that you want to read, click the extension icon and you get a cleaner reading-friendly version of the article.

Mercury Reader comes with a keyboard shortcuts as well: Cmd + Esc for Mac users, Alt + ` for Windows users. The extension also has Printing optimization, in case you would like to print a cleaner version of the article to read later.

If this sounds like something you could use, install the extension from here.

Readability was a favorite extension of teachers everywhere. We were really disappointed when it was discontinued, but thrilled when it was resurrected as Mercury reader!
