OK so it’s definitely legit. Here’s the source: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=554440
Several tech blogs have reported that Chrome OS will soon have the option to resize photos using the built in image editor.
This is definitely a welcomed addition to the Chrome operating system as you will no longer need to rely on third party apps such as Pixlr or an Android app (if you happen to own one of the three devices that support Android apps) to simply resize a photo.
I don’t know where he got it, or what his source is, but Joey over at OMGChrome has a screenshot of the image resizing in action.
Is it a real screenshot? Is it a photoshopped rendering of how he imagines it would look? I don’t know. But I think it looks legit.
I imagine the padlock icon in the middle allows you to chang one dimension while maintaining the same proportions. Which is nice because who wants to do math?
I know it’s not mind blowing but hey, we’re always telling people that Chrome OS just gets better with age, and here’s proof!
