All Chromebooks are created equal but some Chromebooks are more equal than others. The latest in Acer’s Chromebook portfolio, Chromebook 11 and Chromebook 14 are being lifted to the “more than equal” category with their addition to the Google Store.
Acer Chromebook 14
Fully encased in strong and durable aluminium alloy, Chromebook 14 comes with a 14 inch anti-glare HD or full HD IPS resolution. Acer boasts it to have a long 12 hour battery backup, which is sure to attract Chromebook lovers who are mostly on the move- if they are ready to carry something which weighs not less than 3.42 pounds. Streaming and downloading online content is going to be much more faster than before with its dual-band MIMO 802.11ac technology.
Chromebook 14 comes with 4GB RAM and an internal memory of 32GB non expandable memory. It has two USB 3.0 ports on the same side of the laptop. The other side of the Chromebook occupies a headphone or microphone jack and a power connector.
One of the drawbacks of Chromebook 14 is its missing SD card slot, unlike other Chromebook editions. It may, however, may not be a big deal for those looking for a classy and attractive deal from Acer. With a price tag of $299, Chromebook 14 is definitely one of the best buys for its features, currently available on Google Store.
Acer Chromebook 11 C740
If you don’t want to shell out $300 for a Chromebook, but prefer one with an attractive body design, longer battery back-up and a powerful CPU, you may want to consider the newer avatar of the much appreciated C740 model- Acer Chromebook 11. It comes with better cover thickness, more rib panels and longer hinge brackets.
Chromebook 11 claims to have much faster wireless (802.11ac), a more powerful web cam, and an anti-glare HD display like the Chromebook 14 edition. Comes with a 2GB RAM and a 16GB storage, it flashes an affordable price tag of $180.
Both Chromebook 11 and 14 give you the extra benefit of a 100GB free Google Drive storage for 2 years too!
