Google Chrome’s Support for Windows XP To End in April 2016

If you are still using Google Chrome on a Windows XP computer, here is one more reason to consider an upgrade. Google is dropping support for Chrome on Windows XP in April 2016.

If you have Windows XP with Chrome, your browser will still work but you will no longer receive updates and security patches.

Here is the announcement:

Today, we’re announcing the end of Chrome’s support for Windows XP, as well as Windows Vista, and Mac OS X 10.6, 10.7, and 10.8, since these platforms are no longer actively supported by Microsoft and Apple. Starting in April 2016, Chrome will continue to function on these platforms but will no longer receive updates and security fixes.

If you are on Windows XP, you might want to consider buying a Chromebook or maybe converting it to a DIY Chromebook with CloudReady.
