The search box on the Start menu in Windows 10 searches your computer as well as the web. The default search engine here of course is Bing. If you are not a Bing user but use Chrome as your default browser, there is something that you can do. Install Bing2Google.
Bing to Google
Bing2Google, if your default browser is Chrome, redirects your search queries on the start menu to Google. It does not modify the behavior of the start menu search other than changing the search engine that your actual results show up in. You can still search weather from the start menu and see the results right there, without opening any browser.
There is one more thing that you should know before installing this extension. Something that you may not like. This extension redirects you from Bing.com to Google.com even when you type in that in the omnibar.
If you plan on using search often from the start menu, this will be really useful. Also, if you were not using the Start menu search because of Bing, this could change that for you.
