Chrome OS and Android To Have A Common Default Font, Roboto

Anyone noticed the font that Chrome Story is uses for article titles? It is Roboto, the default font of Android, and soon of Chrome OS too.

According to a note in the Chromium OS code that OMG Chrome noticed the other day, Roboto, the font that Google built for Android is coming to Chrome OS as the default font. A request to add the font has been added to the Chromium code tracker.

Google is in the process of upgrading all their web properties and other software products with the new Material Design. After Android 5.0, it’s Chrome OS’ turn now, and we are all waiting for this upgrade. Roboto is a crucial part of that change. (Here is a sneak peak into Chrome OS in material design)

So Google, I now have two Chromebooks and a Nexus 4 waiting for their share of Lollipops. Please send some as soon as possible!
