A New Samsung $250 Chromebook with Bay Trail Chip and 11.6″ Screen Shows Up

It’s been a while since we heard some Samsung. After their Chromebook 2, which didn’t do as good as the previous version of it, there was no news from Samsung about their Chromebooks.

Alvin Chin and Brent Sullivan have spotted something that might change this. If a new product page that showed up on PC Connection website is to be believed, there is a new Samsung Chromebook coming out soon.

Tagged as XE500C12-K01US, this Chromebook runs on a  Celeron N2840  Bay Trail processor with 2 GB RAM, 16 GB SSD and an 11.6″ screen. There are no other specs available at the moment, and we don’t have a picture either.

Price is listed as $249.99, but we cannot be sure of that until we see an official announcement.

If this Chromebook is real, we will start seeing similar leaks with more details soon on other online computer retailers.

I am really curious to find out what Samsung has been doing all these months. Will they be able to give us a good looking Chromebook for a decent price?

Stay tuned!
