Adding to a pretty neat list of solutions that Google provide Chrome users on Windows to fight malware, the company has launched a malware removal tool in beta.
Simply named Software removal tool is a windows tool that works more like a portable app to scan Windows computers to look for creepy software that alter browser settings and add unwanted advertisements without users’ consent.
The tool looks for a specific list of malware that usually cause trouble. Hence, the process takes only seconds after you download. Users will be asked to do a reset of their Chrome settings to put everything back to default.
This program is currently in beta. However, users can now download it from this page.
