Hands on With the Mystery HP Chromebook 11

Remember the mystery HP Chromebook 11 that I told you about yesterday? It looks like a mini Chromebook 14, but has the same internals as the Chromebook 11. Today I have a detailed hands on video of this Chromebook for you.

A few interesting things to note. The Chromebook looks as good as the previous Chromebook 11 model. I liked the glossy plastic design of the old one, but this miniyish Chromebook 14 design is also not bad.

The video talks about the bad viewing angles of the screen and suggests that the screen is not an IPS panel. The original Chromebook 11 had an IPS panel. Will this change bring in a price deduction?

The glossy plastic design had a magnesium chassis  behind the plastic body. Is HP dropping that additional cost in favor of an attractive price point?

But the biggest question is this. They used a very old ARM processor when they released Chromebook 11. Why release an updated version of it with the same old processor? Why not one of the newer intel chips, or a newer ARM processor?

Why?
