Chrome for Android is Getting a Simpler (Lighter) Tab Switcher

Android 4.4 Kit Kat has brought in some changes in Chrome world too. The newest version of Android has a focus on lower end hardware and reduces memory usage to help them perform better.

Chrome team also is helping Kit Kat save memory. They are working on a lighter tab switcher for Chrome on Android, according to François Beaufort.

This is currently available in beta version for Chrome for Android. If you want to check it out, enable the chrome://flags/#accessibility-tab-switcherflag on your android phone and you’ll be able to use this new tab switcher.  As you can see below, its focus is on simplicity. It’s fast and efficient says François.
