If the name of a newly added flag in chrome://flags is to be trusted, Google is working on a service that syncs notifications across devices. Since it is Chrome specific, this means Chrome on your PC, Mac and Chromebooks. And may be even Android and iOS sometime.
“From what I can see, it looks an unique upcoming service (named “Sample App” during the development) will bring synced notifications into Chrome. Work in progress can be followed by enabling the chrome://flags/#enable-sync-synced-notifications flag” says François Beaufort
The source is available here, if you are interested in digging up some code.
I am hoping that sync will be across platforms because the feature becomes more attractive when it can synchronize between Windows, OSX, Linux and Chrome OS. It will be much more interesting if it connects through iOS and Android.
We do not have much of straight forward information available. I am enabling this flag and hopefully, we will get to see something soon. But may be our Happiness Evangelist will do that for us 🙂
