This is a visual walk through of Google Chrome on iOS 7. I am using an iPad mini for this, but the steps and screens should be same for other iPads, and even iPhones and iPod touch.
Google Chrome for iOS 7 – How to Install
Short answer is, pretty much same as any other app on iOS 7. You find the app from the App Store, and touch the new install icon to install it. Take a look!
First, finding the Chrome app in the App Store. Search works best.
Touch FREE and the icon will change to the install icon (the cloud with a down arrow). Or, open up the app to view details.
Since Apple considers Chrome as “age restricted material” you will see this message.
Touch the OK to start download. You will see the progress button showing up
The Chrome icon will now appear on your menu and will continue download. You are free to re-arrange the position at this point. Touch and hold to do this.
The first screen when you start using Chrome is sign in. You can skip this if you do not want to use the Chromesync feature. Once you sign in, your Chromesync will start downloading your bookmarks, open tabs, history and other items you have choose to sync.
Note: If you have set up a passphrase for security, you will be asked for that here.
From here, it is the same Chrome that you have experienced in iOS 6. I am still digging for more iOS 7 specific information on Chrome. So stay tuned for more updates and iOS posts!
