Google+ Photos App for Pixel is Here. Can Install On Any Chromebook

Google released the Google+ Photos native app for Chromebook Pixel as promised (and shown off) during Google I/O 2013. But the good news is, it can be installed on any Chromebook! ( Thank you OMG Chrome!)

Since this is a native app, it works offline by default. Here is the official description: “Google+ Photos lets you keep all your photos backed up, automatically organized and ready to share.”

When you plug an SD card into your Pixel, the app will back up your new photos to Google+ automatically. It is added to a private album on Google Plus. From there, you can use the newly launched photo editing tools to make your clicks look better.

Is it working on other Chromebooks?

For some of them, it is working partially. For me, on my Series 5 550, it just opens up and stares at me and that’s it. So no full review for now!

Give it a try!
