Is Chrome Slower Than Safari on iPhone? What This Video!

I’ve been reading articles about Chrome’s performance on iPhone and iPad. Since Chrome can  not use the same javascript engine as Safari. It is relying on an older engine which is obviously slower.

I also saw many blog posts where people were loving Chrome for all the other features especially the seamless Chromesync from all your devices.

Then I came across this video. This is not scientific test as the blogger says, but still you get an idea.  Google Chrome was installed on an iPhone 4S using iOS 5.1.1, and Safari was ran on an iPhone 4 running iOS 6 beta 2.

Now, if you think the performance difference is because of the faster iPhone 4s running Chrome, watch this video. This has Chrome on the iPhone 4, and Safari on the iPhone 4S. Here you will see Safari leading, but not a great margin there.

I would say, Chrome on iOS, is not bad at all, when it comes to performance. Share your thoughts!

I love the image that posted along with this video!!

Dinsan made Google Chrome his default browser within hours of its release. He fell in love with Chromebooks from the day he first touched one and is currently obsessed with Chromecasts.
