Chrome Gets Retina Display Ready – More Shiny Browsing for Macbook Pro Users

If you are planning to buy the new Macbook Pro with Retina Display, good news for you. Google Chrome has become the first non-apple app to put a Retina Display Ready app for the new shiny screen.

Google Chrome’s Canary Build for Mac now offers more pixel density to make use of the Retina Display, giving you more sharper browsing experience.

Here is an image showing the improvement. Normal display on the left and Retina Display on the right hand side.

You always want Chrome to look great, no matter what device you’re using. Apple recently announced a new laptop with a Retina high-resolution screen, and we’re committed to polishing Chrome until it shines on that machine.

The Chrome Canary channel already shows the early results of this work, bringing basic high-resolution support to Chrome. We have further to go over the next few weeks, but we’re off to the races to make Chrome as beautiful as it can be.

I am sure the team is happy and proud to be the first no-apple app to bring Retina Display ready product to the Macbook pro, that too within days of its announcement!

Good job guys!!
