Chrome Sync is a handy feature that gives me confidence to move from one PC to another, or change operating system on my netbook from Ubuntu to Chromium OS to Windows 8 whenever I need to do some testing.
After setting up sync, I spend some time tweaking settings on extensions in the way it was on my other PC. This has to be done every time I set up sync on a new PC or OS to get the exact experience I had had there.
Google Chrome will soon be able to sync extensions settings for you. Yes, you can take your preferences set on any extension wherever you go! Â Here is the note about this change.
Enable sync for the settings from the Extension Settings API. Original patch by email@example.com. BUG=94575 TEST=unit tests included TBRfirstname.lastname@example.org Review URL: http://codereview.chromium.org/7977018
I am sure you are all going to love this feature. Wait for this to be pushed to stable versions which should happen in few weeks time, thanks to the regular upgrade schedule of Chrome.
Any other sync feature that you guys are excited about? btw, the image used in this post is something the team is working on. This or something in same color theme as Chrome will be used to promote Chrome Sync in an upcoming version.
