How to use SSH on your Chromebook

Interested in learning some pro-tips for Chromebook? Well, if you liked -“How to Change to Dev and Beta Channels in Chromium OS” and “How To Run “Tracert” in Chromebook OS Devices” , you are going to like this too.

First thing you need to do here, to do SSH, is to know how to get in to the command prompt. It’s easy, press CTRL + ALT + T,  see it now?

Type : ssh .This will take you to the SSH sub-shell.

The basic form of a ssh login is “ssh [] (port is usually port :22)” In crosh, this is entered by the following:

Type “host” and the ip address you want to connect to, then press “enter”.
Type “user” and type the user login name, then press “enter.”
Type “ls”, and you’ll be able to see all the files in the user home directory

I am assuming that you are reading this post because you know something about Linux commands and commands in there. So, you should be fine from here.

I think you need to enter the “connect” command before “ls”.
