Chromoting or Remoting on Chrome and Chrome OS is something that we have been waiting for a long time now. I am pretty sure that Google was testing this internally for some time now. But looks like its possible for us commoners to test this now !
Enabling Remoting on Chrome and Chrome OS
The first thing you need to is enabling remoting support in your browser. Open about:flags from your browser and look for “Remoting” Click “Enable” next to it and restart your browser, and you are ready.
How to Enable Chromoting Me2Mom Plugin
– Download the webapp named Me2Mom with that command for instance:
svn export http://src.chromium.org/svn/trunk/src/remoting/webapp/me2mom/
– Go to chrome://extensions in your browser
– Toggle Developer mode
– Click Load unpacked extension and select the folder where me2mom has been exported
– Go to you new tab page and click on the web app called “Chromoting Me2Mom”
This feature is still away from perfection, but those who can’t wait more, can try this ! The UI is still not clearly done, and the icon as well, does not look like final one to me. But looks like we are almost there. What say guys ?
