There are number of gmail checker plugins for different browsers. Chrome also has couple of them. But here is an extension for gmail, that does some pretty smart stuff.
Gmail Checker Plus, has some cool features.
- 10 different icon sets, choose your favorite!
- Mail preview window
- Delete, archive, spam, star and mark as read functionality
- Google Apps support
- Mailto-links open in your Gmail or Google Apps Mail account
- Monitor all your labels
The mail preview window is my favorite feature. If you look at the picture here, you will get a good idea about how this works. Instead of just viewing the number of unread emails on your inbox, this window actually helps you reply, mark read or mark that email spam.
You can select how the plugin windows should look like. Change colors of the icons depending up on your taste. See them in action in the image below.
Now, go ahead and install this extension and play with it ! Install it from here … and dont forget to leave your feedback in comments !
Okay, this is what I call “Brilliant” .. you can now turn IE, Internet Explorer, in to Google Chrome, with a simple plugin ! You won’t believe it, I know, that’s why I have brought you Video and Screenshot of this thing .. check it out
Google Chrome Frame is an early-stage open source plug-in that seamlessly brings Google Chrome’s open web technologies and speedy JavaScript engine to Internet Explorer. With Google Chrome Frame, you can:
Start using open web technologies – like the HTML5Â canvas tag – right away, even technologies that aren’t yet supported in Internet Explorer 6, 7, or 8.
Take advantage of JavaScript performance improvements to make your apps faster and more responsive.
So, isn’t that  a brilliant move from Google’s side to kill Internet Explorer ?
How to Enable
Enabling Google Chrome Frame is simple. For most web pages, all you have to do is add a single tag to your pages and detect whether your users have installed Google Chrome Frame.
If Google Chrome Frame is not installed, you can direct your users to an installation page.
If Google Chrome Frame is installed, it detects the tag you added and works automatically.
