Most of you already know these tips, but here is a quick video from lifehacker.com explaining a bunch of tab/window management tricks for Google Chrome. I am publishing them mainly for Mac users here. I do not have a Mac to give you much tips from there.
Here are all your options for Mac:
Command+Return = Opens the URL in a new tab in the background
Command+Shift+Return (or Alt+Return) = Opens the URL in a new tab in the foreground and selects it
Shift+Return = Opens the URL in a new window
And Windows:
Alt+Enter = Opens the URL in a new tab in the foreground and selects it
Middle mouse button click = Opens a link in a new tab in the background
Control+Click = Opens a link in a new tab in the background
Control+Shift+Click = Opens a link in a new tab and selects it

Firefox was once the major (probably only) browser in my computer.  It’s speed, stability, expandable functionality (through add-ons) and customizable theme are very appealing to ordinary IE users like me.  Despite my switch to Mac brought in a new friend, Safari, my love for Firefox had never died.
Some years later I switched to Chrome. Â From all aspects you could consider it as an advanced version of Firefox. Â It offers the same advantages of Firefox – speed, stability, functionality and theme.
Although now I’ve became a loyal Chrome user, I do not intend to criticize Firefox or promote Chrome here (it could be another long blog post, though).  Both of them are great products that have gradually improved over the years, particular Firefox 4 that impressed me a lot.  This article was written to help long-time Firefox users to get used to Chrome if they choose to switch (or vice versa if you are leaving for Firefox).
This article was written with reference to Firefox 4 and 5 and Chrome 12 on Windows 7.
It is believed that search is part of Google’s DNA. So, I am wondering why launched Google+ without an option to search your stream. There is a lot of activity in Google+ already even though there are only very less number of people using it. Searching and sorting is a big task for all new user of G+.
Adding a custom search engine on Chrome will be an alternate solution. Here is how to do that.
1. Open URL: chrome://settings/searchEngines
2. Add new entry with following values:
(Search in posts)
- Column 1: Google+ Posts
- Column 2: post
- Column 3: {google:baseURL}search?q=site:plus.google.com inurl:posts/* %s
Hope this makes your life on Google+ easier. I would love to hear your take on Google plus, now that the service is few days old. Oh, and those who got in today, let me know your first impression please !!!
