After slippy, here comes peppy, another Chrome OS board being tested, with Intel’s latest Haswell line of chips. Yes, Google keeps testing different “boards” for future Chromebooks and not every board makes it to a final product. It is still interesting to watch the development and the new hardware.

Will peppy and slippy make it in to real Chromebooks? We will have to wait and watch!

Here is a piece of code with “peppy” mentioned along with Haswell.

chromebook Peppy Another Chromebook with Intel Haswell Chip Shows Up in Chrome OS Code

François Beaufort posted some information about upcoming Chromebooks recently which included Peppy as well.

Falco, Peppy, Slippy and Fox seem to be all upcoming x86 platforms.
– Fox (the leader in Star Fox) was the first to have Haswell, the next Intel generation of processor microarchitecture.
– Slippy is also Haswell-equipped.

Now the waiting gets better!
