Here is one thing you can do to make your Chromebook look beautiful, right now. If you are on the Developer channel, that is. You can download the new rich notifications app for Chrome and enjoy the new, beautiful and elegant notifications. Yes, the app from this screenshot.
The app is a demo app from the Chrome team. They are using this app to test various iterations of the notifications, along with debugging options. Here is the note from developers: This demo app is for testing the notifications API, and for easily generating screenshots of different templates.

Test this out and let me know how it works. It did not work for me on the Cr48. I am not sure if it is a problem with the Cr48. If anyone can try this out and give me feedback, that’ll be awesome! However, François Beaufort got this working on his lumpy (Samsung series 5 550). Here is a screenshot.
Does This Work on Windows?
Some users are reporting that this works on windows as well. However, I could not confirm this. Bad luck I guess, it is not working for me on windows too! So, please try it out and let me know!
Thanks François Beaufort again!
