Google Drive team has made a Chrome extension to make saving to drive easier for Chromies.
This extension allow you to save web content directly to Google Drive through a browser action or context menu. You can save documents, images, and HTML5 audio and video all by right clicking and selecting ‘Save to Google Drive’. You can save the currently viewed page using the ‘Save to Google Drive’ browser action. The format of saved HTML pages can be controlled with the options page (Choice of Entire image (default), Visible image, Raw HTML, MHTML, or Google Doc). You can automatically convert Microsoft Office files or comma separated files to Google docs format.
You must check out the options page for this extension.
You get to configure in what format webpages are saved to your Google Drive, and also select if you want to convert files to Google format while uploading.
If you want to save files from your computer to Google Drive using this extension, you will need to enable this from the chrome://extensions/ page. Look up the Save To Google Drive extension in the list and check Allow access to file URLs. Once this is enabled, you can open any files from your computer on Chrome, right click and save to Google Drive.
