I’ve always wondered why the Chrome team uses Macs when demoing Chrome and not use a Chromebook.

Google banned windows internally, for security reasons ostensibly; although I suspect that’s not the real reason. You can’t as yet build Chrome OS on a chromebook (sshing to another machine to do it there doesn’t count)
