How to Make Your Chromebook Do a Barrel Roll

Google has a couple of easter eggs hidden inside your Chromebook. If you have a Chromebook or any other Chrome OS device, like a Pixelbook or a Pixel Slate tablet, you can make it do a barrel roll.

To make your Chromebook do a barrel roll, use the keyboard shortcut CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + RELOAD.

Now, the keyboard shortcut CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + RELOAD

Bonus Tip – Do This with Google Search

You can make your Google search results page also do a barrel roll. Simply search “Do a barrel roll” on Google and you should this happening.

    I hardly consider it an Easter Egg if the First start guide tells you about the key combo. It doesn’t explicitly say what the it does, but it hints that you won’t regret it.

      Yes it qualifies as an Easter Egg because you have no idea what you will find when you look. Surprise! That’s all an Easter Egg is. You’re thinking of an Easter Egg Hunt–they are more work than fun if you ask me. 🙂
