Save Your Gmail Attachments To Google Drive With This Chrome Extension
Now that we have Google Drive ready (you all got accounts right?) and integrated with Chrome OS, let us go hunt down some Chrome Extensions for Google Drive. They are slowly coming out and we should see some soon. So, stay tuned for more interesting Chrome Extension for Google Drive!
The “Save Gmail Attachments to Drive” extension was originally a Save to Google Drive extension that got updated for Google Drive. As the name suggests, it lets you save attachments from Gmail to Google Drive, with a single click.

After you install this extension, every email attachment you get on Gmail will have a “Save To Drive” link with it. Click this to save the attachment to your Google Drive account.
This is an actively maintained/developed extension from the looks of it. The Developer is listening to user feedback and making improvements gradually.
Is there any Chrome Extension for Google Drive that you would like to see? Any ideas for developers to work on?

Thanks for the shout out, DINU!
I am the developer for this extension and like you said, I am always looking for ways to improve it. I’d love to hear whatever anybodies’ thoughts!
Thanks again,
Josh
Hi Josh,
Really great extention but I would really, really like to see my drive folders to save the attachments into rather than force to root directory.
Is this possible?
Many thanks
Stephen
That sounds like a nice idea!!
Hi Josh
In my tests I could only send files compatible with Google Docs to Google Drive, it didn’t work for example with a .wmv video.
I don’t know if it’s possible to also filter messages and send all files attached to them at once to Google Drive. It would save the time to open one by one to do it.
Best Regards.
