“Context” for Chrome Lets You Put Extensions In To Groups and Switch Between Them

by Dinu

Was that title too long? Not sure, but let me tell you what I was trying to communicate there. Take a look at your extensions. How many you have? 10? 15?

Okay, do you use all of them, whenever you are on Chrome? No, correct? You use a set of extensions for a particular task or during a particular time of the day.  So, why not put your extensions in to some groups and use only those you need at the moment?

Context allows you to place extensions into profiles so you can switch between different browsing experiences. Simply put extensions that you use for work, fun, shopping, socializing etc. into different groups (“contexts”) and with one click switch between them.

This is a new concept, isn’t it? Its going to be useful for anyone with a long list of extensions and having tough time to manage them. Did you find this useful?

Install it from here.

This is a nice extension, I have installed it and it works easily.
For daily use of a certain number of extensions is it better to have the other extensions not visible every day.
