Google is yet to give it’s new Music service to everyone, ( currently beta only ). There is no question of an official Chrome Extension as of now, but I’v got an unofficial Chrome Extension for Google Music to share with you.
It gives you controls to play/pause, skip, reverse, shuffle, and repeat songs in any Chrome window. It also has toast notifications of song change and scrobbling.
This will work on Chrome Browser and Chrome OS on your Chromebook. So, enjoy this stuff if you were one of the lucky guys to get a Music Beta invite. For others’, just keep this in mind 
btw, this is a beta version of the extension.
