  1. Well, turn off IE, turn off Chrome. Then, in same time turn on both browsers and just watch the magic. (it’s better magic if you use firefox instead of IE for this trick)

  2. A simple way to impress an IE user that Chrome is better – open a PDF in Chrome

  3. We should also be realistic (honest?) and tell our friends that not all sites will open (properly) with Chrome! Biggest offenders being some bank sites and many Government of India sites.

We should also educate them about using the proper channels to complain or suggest improvements.

  4. I can’t find the place where we talked about problems with HDFC Bank a few weeks ago, so if you don’t mind, I’m doing it here again!

It looks like someone had filed a bug report quite some time ago (issue 1023, just after Chrome was launched).

From my limited understanding, one obvious problem in trouble-shooting is the need for a username and password!!!

But please do read about the issue and post your advice. Perhaps, you could even help the team by trying to provide the information they have asked for.

I don’t get the technical terms they use there otherwise I could provide data from my friend’s account.

For example, in comment #24, Karen wrote:
it appears this page has changed? here’s what i see. still no tab but a different looking
page altogether. i think this bug won’t move unless we can find some sort of reduction.
can you try to save the page?

What does she mean by “reduction”?

  5. It’s not really a tip, but Chrome looks nicer. Possibly whisk a few tabs around, in and out of windows and stuff (that’s a different point).
