Use Facebook Inside Gmail, Like Buzz – Chrome Extension

Yes ! there is no typo in the title You can actually use Facebook inside gmail, just like Buzz used to be. Oh yea, I said used to be … because I know all of you started using it and then turned it off after couple of days  Now, let’s try facebook in the same style.

If you are Google Chrome, you are lucky, this is done with an extension. If you are using any other browser, don’t worry, this is the right time to make the switch.

This alpha release of the Gmail Facebook integration extension will allow to see your friends’ facebook notifications. Currently quite a number of things still need work, but the basic integration is working properly.

Even though the plugin i still being developed, its worth a try. Notifications are currently hosted on 000webhost and not on a ‘real’ webhost. On one hand this might mean the extension might get shut down if it gets too popular. Author also adds that he might add advertisements also to support the venture.
